Driven by a passion for sustainable aviation and an aerospace engineering background, Gopal’s work at NACO focuses on developing robust and reliable insights into the strategies and adaptations required to facilitate the future aviation energy mix, including SAF and Hydrogen. His experience includes developing impact studies for alternative fuels on international airport masterplans, and more detailed safety studies to facilitate the development of operational concepts. Most recently, he developed an overview of the various development timelines required for alternative fuel infrastructure at national airports in The Netherlands.

Ralf Diemer is the CEO of the eFuel Alliance e.V. based in Berlin and Brussels. During his law degree in Tuebingen, he worked in the Baden-Wuerttemberg state parliament and in the European Parliament. He then started his professional career in Berlin as an office manager in the German parliament. After moving to the German Association of the Automotive Industry, he headed the Brussels branch there for ten years and then the department for Economic, Trade and Climate Protection Policy in Berlin. He was involved in numerous legislative processes on a national and European level, with a focus on climate, environmental and trade policy. Political interest and involvement in politics have always been of central importance to him. Ralf Diemer is Director at the consulting company von Beust & Coll. Beratungsgesellschaft.

As head of SAF at Hinicio, Louis supports project developers to de-risk their eSAF and bioSAF projects. He has been with Hinicio for the past eight years advising customers on the business cases of PtX and SAF projects. Louis’ mission is to make transport more sustainable. He is an entrepreneur and consultant working in clean transportation on eSAF, green hydrogen, Power-to-X, night trains, and clean aviation.
He is now co-founding BookBetter as a sustainable OTA, and the least polluting flight BetterToBaku for COP29. He was a co-founder of Moonlight Express (now European Sleeper night trains) and worked as COO at Hinicio. Before that, he worked as a project manager at Roland Berger in strategy, M&A, and restructuring with a strong focus on the airline and transportation industry. He has an academic background in commercial engineering and international working experience living and working in different locations in Europe, Colombia & Mexico, the Middle East, and China.

Dr Stavros Michailos is a Lecturer in Chemical Engineering at the University of Hull. He holds a PhD from the University of Manchester and has post-doctoral experience at the University of Manchester, Aston University and the University of Sheffield.
He has extensive experience and expertise in process design, modeling, lifecycle and techno-economic assessments of various low carbon energy systems including sustainable aviation fuel production technologies, carbon capture utilization and storage, biorefineries and decentralized energy solutions. He has published widely, over 50 research papers, book chapters and reports, and contributed to numerous multi-disciplinary programmes. His research has attracted interest from industry and policy makers.

Andrew Thomas is the Director of Sustainability at Vista. Andrew has been with Vista for over 10 years and has spearheaded its sustainability agenda since 2018.
During Andrew’s tenure, he has led multi-year GHG and TCFD reporting for transparent auditing, introduced a comprehensive Carbon Offset initiative and most recently introduced Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) as a business standard, culminating in the purchase of 4 million US gallons of SAF for 2023-2024.

As a Consultant at Hinicio, Rocio plays a key role in advancing eSAF, bioSAF and PtX projects, by providing expert guidance in the techno-economic optimization including GHG emissions constraints along the entire supply chain. She's been working in Hinicio for four years, closely with stakeholders to ensure their SAF and PtX projects follow the regulatory frameworks of the EU, comply with GHG emissions reduction targets, and meet certification requirements to successfully achieve FID.
With a strong specialization in the LATAM ecosystem, Rocio’s expertise lies in providing Project Development Assistance (PDA), including Life Cycle Assessments of green hydrogen and PtX projects. Her mission is to contribute to the decarbonization of all sectors, particularly focusing on clean aviation and sustainable transport solutions.
With a background in electrical engineering and a specialization in renewable energies, along with international work and personal experience in France, Belgium, and Chile, Rocio brings a global perspective to every project she supports.

Martin Porsgaard is head of NISA, Nordic Initiative for Sustainable Aviation and head of the SAF topic in the EU's green aviation project ALIGHT. Originally educated cand. Tech. Soc. from Roskilde University. NISA participates in and takes initiatives for analysis and development projects that can contribute to a more sustainable aviation. The focus has been on SAF as well, but all potential fuels, bio, eSAF, electrification, hydrogen, hybrid solutions are in play. The sustainability aspects of development are central and will become more and more important in the future. This also applies to the availability of raw materials and renewable energy. Martin is a big advocate for all these aspects to be analyzed, made transparent and become the basis for decisions, rules and to apply it.
