Jan Skjoldhammer will be at the 2nd Annual Floating Solar PV Forum to speak on one of the hot trendy topics in FPV: ``The Hercules of Ocean Energy"  Hybrid PV.

 

Jan is Novige’s founder/leader and the inventor of the unique and triple patented NoviOcean hybrid wave energy concept. Aside from the strategic decision-making and being the face of Novige AB, Jan has been deeply involved in all technical and practical issues related to the development, scaling up, and validation of the NoviOcean technology. His background as an airline captain for several years and as an officer in the Norwegian Air Force, helped him develop management and leadership capabilities.

 

Jan’s endeavor in the property development business while flying, laid the monetary foundation for Novige AB. He has been recognized as Sweden's Mission Innovation Champion of 2020 as well as Innovator of the Year. In addition, the company has earned the Seal of Excellence from the European Commission and the Propeller Prize from Stena Line.

Floating solar PV is an emerging technology with the potential for rapid growth. The demand for floating solar PV is expanding, especially on islands as the cost of the water surface is generally lower than the cost of land. Currently, most activity on floating PV relates to freshwater artificial reservoirs. Notwithstanding, the combined use of offshore solar PV with offshore wind is possible, because the solar panels can float between the wind turbines at sea, resulting in a hybrid system that can provide more stable power for the grid

2nd Annual Floating Solar PV Forum will take place as a two-days summit and will explore the global importance of floating solar.
